The Diocese of Oxford Board of Education is seeking to appoint a Church/School Relationships Adviser to work creatively with schools and church communities to discern, create and develop relationships which are mutually beneficial. This is a newly created role which has emerged as part of our common vision to become a more Christ-like Church for the sake of God’s world and you will hold strategic responsibility for parish engagement and church/school relationships, working alongside Department of Mission and Board of Education colleagues.
We are looking for a practising Christian who is able to think creatively, work strategically and has experience of working with different theological traditions and approaches in the Anglican church to take this role forward. Excellent communication and facilitative skills are important too, as you will work with schools to assist and advise on developing relationships with their parishes and visit clergy and parish teams to provide advice and practical assistance in building relationships with schools.

Hours: 37 hours, Monday–Friday with some evening and weekend work required
Salary: £40,012 per annum
